Lyrics Han All – Walk With You 가사  - Lyrics courtesy of https://mykpop.jspinyin.net

Walk With You – English Translation

When we walk in hand
When a pleasant sunshine
Walking with you
This step is light

When walking
When I told you
My mind is getting more
I wandered with you.

Let’s walk together
It’s okay to be slow.
Unrecessed
Saying to a slow step

Let’s walk together
Let’s take a break for a while
You do not have to go quickly.
Let’s walk together with respiration

Fast steps
I can breathe.
Personal heart
To meet each other’s steps

I can walk long for a long time
I can be together for a long time
Let’s walk together
It’s okay to be slow.

Unrecessed
Saying to a slow step
Let’s walk together
Let’s take a break for a while

You do not have to go quickly.
Let’s walk together with respiration
I can walk long for a long time
I can be together for a long time

Lyrics Ayumi Hamasaki – Voyage - Lyrics courtesy of https://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics

English Translation

We travel this road to find happiness
See? You look good with a smile on your face

These beautiful, fragile days are reborn, unfaded

In the season of dazzling burned seas
And in the season of dancing snowflakes
Whenever I turned around, you were there

We travel this road to find happiness
Everyone is a traveler, carrying his own never-healing wounds
See? You look good with a smile on your face

How many times have I gotten lost?
Every time, the one who extended his
Warm helping hand was you

At the end of this long path, what will we think?
Everyone is a traveler, wandering about in search of love
Let's go together until we tire of it

At the end of this long path, what will we think?
Everyone is a traveler, wandering about in search of love
Let's go together until we tire of it

A Message to Heaven

There were a few reasons why I made this trip to Korea.
Firstly, it was for my mum, as a remembrance trip for her. She had always wanted to visit Japan and Korea. My sis brought her to Japan a couple years back before Covid.
My sis had suggested Jeju trip to go with my mum before Covid but I was putting it off as I thought we could make it later.Alas, my mum couldn't and I had felt bad about it ever since.
Then, there was another reason for me to visit Korea. My son has just finished his course in February and will be starting work in May.
Once work has started, there will be less opportunity to travel for long period, So, I thought since he is having a break at the moment, let's travel on a backpack.
And here we were.
On many mountain trails, there are temples one can visit in Korea. For many senior folks, they will hike to the temples to offer prayers, offerings etc. For tourists, we can offer donations about KRW10,000 and write on a clay plate some of the wishes we would like to convey to our love ones who had passed on.
I had the opportunity to do so at Seoraksan and also at Jeju. When I first wrote mine for my mum at Seoraksan, it was with the thought to let my mum know that we all missed her.
Missed her calling to me in the middle of my classes.
Missed her doing her exercises with her YouTube video.
Missed her sitting at her usual sofa using the phone and randomly calling people and sending weird messages.
Missed her walking to the kitchen in the wee hours of the morning to drink some beverages.
Missed the fact that she had been holding fort for many years keeping everyone together.
Ever since the day she passed away on 2/1/2022, I had never had a single dream about her. No messages, no conversations, no flashbacks. Nothing.
That night, after I had written my message on the clay plate at Seoraksan, I had a nice dream of seeing her sitting on her bed with her shorter than usual hair and smiling. I gave her a big tight hug. We didn't say anything to each other but it was enough to see her smiling at me.
When I was in Jeju, an opportunity came for me to write my second plate. This time, I thought it will be a nice closure as Jeju was the place she had wanted to visit. And so, I did.
It felt really good to be able to fulfill my late mum's wishes.
To be very honest, I would not have thought of Korea as a backpacking designation as I have closer affinity to Japan more than Korea. However, recent events, that seemed fated to happen, made me consider travelling to Korea.
In fact, during the planning of this trip, a surprise fan party for Park Eun Bin was announced which coincided with the travelling schedule of my trip and hence I was able to attend the fan party on Korea for the first time ever.
In all, it seemed that I had come a full circle from having fan activities with Park Eun Bin to Korea backpacking trip to remembrance trip to Jeju to sending a message to heaven and fulfilling my mum's wishes.
I am unsure what will come next but for sure, memories of my mum will forever live on in my heart.
Hope you are having a great time in heaven, Mummy. I will live my life to the fullest and be happy for the remaining journey of my life. See you in heaven in the future. Take good care of yourself and don't worry about us.

In Memory of Hong Hong - You had lived a good life.

Time flies. A year had gone by.

Hong Hong died at home at 3pm on the 23rd of February 2022.

In just a blink of the eye, 13 years had passed.

Hong Hong and her siblings were born in 2009 at our lane.
In 2011, I was trying to get them adopted.
Here's their story, written in 2011.
This is a story about Clever, Hong Hong and Bobby. They grew up along Anggerik Aranda 31/29. They weren't abandoned by their parents. It's just that being canine, unlicensed ones, their parents were captured by MBSA two years ago. Since then, residents of 31/29 have been taking care of them by feeding and sheltering them whenever possible. As they are females, they have all been neutered (at 9 months old) to ensure no unsolicited attention from other male canines.
Bobby (a female but named such), in human being's term, is like an autistic child. She was traumatised by her parents' abduction at an early age and is extremely afraid of human. She is very attached to Nike (the male Alsation, living in the first house, two doors away). It's extremely difficult to capture her, even MBSA has failed many times.
Clever, as she was taken away from her mum at birth(someone adopted her and didn't want her after a few months) and was whining and pining for her for the initial few weeks..... she is pretty hyper, short fused and likes to chase cars.... and strangers.... so I am terribly sorry if anyone here has been chased or barked by her. However, her bark is worse than her bite, just give her a shout and fierce look, she will run off....... She is a very good watch dog though..... and very obediently comes back to the house after she has done her share of running for the night. She doesn't eat much but more frequent than usual (three small portions), not choosy about her food and she's fine with water. She isn't the lovey dovey type though.
As for Hong Hong, she is definitely the prima donna type. Loves to be cuddled, will know how to win back your heart after being naughty. She will look at you with her almond shaped eyes and lift her paws and rest them on you...... She's awfully afraid of thunder and will hide behind you or try to get into the house whenever it rains cats and dogs. She hates water and chooses her food)
For months now, I have kept Clever and Hong Hong in my house. Sometimes they do escaped but they will still head home for food. Bobby, she's outside, she has been taking care of herself. I just feed her dinner every evening.
Actually, the three of them are part of a litter of 8. We have managed to get the rest adopted.....
It is with a heavy heart that I have to put Clever and Hong Hong up for adoption. One of the main reasons is, my son and I are acute bronchitis sufferers and having dogs in our compound aren't helping with our condition. Secondly, I am having some muslim students coming to my house for classes next year and it is not convenient for the dogs to be around.......
Hong Hong can be a really good companion dog and Clever, a good watch dog.....
If you know of anyone who is looking for such dogs, please let me know.... my contact no is 017-8810246.
Only serious inquiries will be entertained. Thank you very much for your kind attention.
BTW, April, one of their siblings, is staying at one of the neighbour's house along 31/29 too..... so actually 31/29 is a doggy's lane..... most of us love dogs, and because of them, we are a closely knitted neighbourhood..... we know each other well and watch out for one another..... Hope adopting Hong Hong or Clever will bring such atmosphere to your neighbourhood too.... Cheers.....

13-year-old Hong Hong
Heart failure
Fluid retention
Immune system down
Not eating much
Pale
To think that she used to be so robust, a prima Dona, always looking for ways to escape, able to climb fences etc.
Life is a cycle. Life is short. Life is a journey.

Paying tribute to seven Sisters of the Sacred Heart Convent

NST By Kelly Koh - November 9, 2017

While I didn't write this article, I wanted to put it in my archive to remember the work our Alumnae had put in for the Guardian of Sacred Heart Photo Exhibition.

https://www.nst.com.my/news/nation/2017/11/301100/paying-tribute-seven-sisters-sacred-heart-convent

MELAKA: Nestled in the state's iconic historical landmarks in Banda Hilir is the 112-year-old Sacred Heart Convent, one of the last remaining convents where Sisters continue to serve the education needs of the local communities.

However, the race is on to document the daily lives of the seven Sisters, who are now in the twilight of their years.

In a bid to preserve their heritage, several former students and professional photographers have decided to document the lives of the last remaining sisters as they go about their daily routine at the school.

@Photo Credit Teh Ehurn Nee and Ng Yow Shing

Canossian Alumnae Association chairman Karen Lee Huey Shyan, who studied here till 1989, said they hope that their effort will become a lasting tribute to the school and the Sisters before their passing.

She said the photographs have been framed and displayed at a section of the school till Nov 26. Titled “The Guardians of Sacred Heart”, the photo exhibition features scenes captured by travel photographers Teh Ehurn Nee and Ng Yow Shing.

"We realise that we only have group photos of students and the Sisters from the 1920’s and 1950's.

"Many of the Sisters here are not young anymore. Some have passed away and we are concerned that if they pass on, it would mean a loss of heritage.

"This is why we want to document their daily lives. We hope that 50 years or even 100 years down the road, these photos will be a reminder to the future generation of the sacrifices they made. That is the essence of this exhibition,” she said, adding that the school is the only school in Melaka where the Sisters are still living and serving in the school.

Apart from the photo exhibition, the effort to preserve the school's heritage also involved the setting up of a Canossian Heritage Gallery in 2015.

Other than that, several areas of the school’s old kitchen, dining room, the laundry and a well were also preserved and exhibited.

The convent was built in 1905 and is located next to the Independence Memorial and 16th century Portuguese A Famosa gateway.

At present, the convent operates a kindergarten and has 220 primary school students.

Meanwhile, Sister Retta Savannah, 54, who has served for six years at the school, said the Sisters continue to teach at the kindergarten and serve on the Board of Governors for both the primary and secondary school SMK Canossa Convent, located in the Portuguese Settlement.

"There are seven of us. All of us have our own roles. There are two sisters who would supervise the Canossa secondary school, two others who teach kids at kindergarten, while the other sisters do pastoral work at churches. As the community leader, I oversee the overall service of the Sisters here."

Sister Elizabeth Chan, 74 who was a former student of the school in 1960, said she was inspired to become a sister and help teach and guide young girls. She became the school’s teacher from 1971-1976.

@Photo Credit Teh Ehurn Nee and Ng Yow Shing

Photographer Teh, 42, who is also the editor for Travelmate Magazine, said the essence of the photographs captured was to create a natural scene of the sisters’ lives without having them act or pose for the camera.

“We followed the lives of the sisters for two days and apart from their portrait photos, we try not to disturb them and take the most natural moment of them as well as avoid using any flash,” she said.

Members of the public can view the photo exhibition by appointment by contacting Amy Lee at 016-2730836 till Nov 23.

The photo exhibition is also open to the public between Nov 24 and 26 from 10am till 5pm in conjunction with the Melaka Art and Performance Festival (MAPFest).

Monthsary Reflection on Binkan Manila 23112022, a month after.

It was an unbelievable journey I had taken in the autumn of 2022. In a way, I felt that it was my mum in heaven, wanting me to make this journey to shed the pale shadow of my former self which I had been miring in and to rediscover the joy of being me, the spontaneous, creative and adventurous good old me.

Going for Park Eun Bin Binkan Note Asia Tour Fan Meeting from Manila to Singapore and now she is coming to Malaysia, has been such a revelation. Memories I will cherish for the rest of my life.

@ photo credit Pulp Live World

While I had been actively promoting Binkan KL for the past week, today, I was all quiet about it because I wanted to relish the memories I had from Binkan Manila. It was a journey of my many firsts. My first fan meet, first trip to Manila, first time travelling with strangers to foreign land and staying in the same hotel room.

Picture: The three ladies of MY Bingos in Manila. We had another lady with us. She was a super duper fan. She arrived from KL just before the fan meet and left the same day, immediately right after. We didn't have time to take pictures together.

@photo credit Elina Lim/Wee Yap

First time meeting bunny queen Eun Bin, first time having a Hi-Bye session with her. To be honest, our mission was, since Malaysia wasn't in the list of her Asia Tour, since she couldn't come to us, to go to her and let her know that she has a fan club here in Malaysia.

There were many fans in our group who couldn't make the overseas trips, ,so, we wanted to bring to her attention that we would love to have her in Malaysia, being the friendly hospitable Malaysians we were. At every opportunity, we showed our A4 signboard with our fan club logo and MALAYSIA.

To our surprise, fellow Filo Bingos were so supportive of us, we were so timid and were like little mice. They pushed us to the front to get the GMA station interviewed us, they helped us raise our signboards for Eun Bin to see and they made us felt so much warmth and happiness.

And from Manila, we got to know fans from Korea,Taiwan and Singapore. We got ourselves connected as some of us were planning to go to Binkan TH and SG as well. That was our personal journey in Manila. The fan meet itself, as I have said in my previous tweet, it was a puzzle. Every fan meeting is a puzzle with Eun Bin revealing different aspect of herself at each stop. We attend the fan meetings in different countries to collect the puzzles that will make a complete her..

The fan meeting in Manila was a love affair, a love meeting between Eun Bin and her Asian fans. It was a healing event. An electrifying, explosive, healing session right from the moment it started till it ended. I' had never felt so loved and appreciated and if I could feel it, so could everyone else including Eun Bin. The passion and exuberance demonstrated by the fans were just unbelievable.

When she cried, after watching the fan video, many of us cried. The words were taken right from our hearts and to see our feelings being so expressively well articulated were just beyond what our emotions could contain. I would never ever forget that moment.

@ photo credit Pulp Live World

Binkan Manila will forever be entrenched in the deepest of my heart. And because it was also the first destination for Eun Bin in her Asia Tour, I was truly glad that she had such an emotionally filled experience. And it was very obvious that night that she had let her hair down.

Seeing her being so BFF with Kring Kim, so natural, so comfortable, so friendly and unpretentious, she truly was herself that night. I was extremely glad I had made the impromptu decision to go to Manila. I was thinking of going only to Binkan SG. As much as Eun Bin is filling her Binkan with her fan meetings, we are also filling our binkan with memorable experiences from various stops.

@photo credit NamooActors

Rewatching videos of Binkan Manila never fails to put a smile on my face.

The high feeling of Binkan Manila lasted till my journey back to Malaysia. For a week after that, I was still glued onto my phone. Abigail said I was suffering from PFMD. Post Fan Meeting Depression. It took tremendous amount of effort to finally get Binkan Manila out of my mind.

I believed that one just needed to attend Eun Bin's fan meeting once, and then to realise that you needed to see her again. Once just wasn't enough. I was extremely lucky that I got to see her again in Binkan SG which I will save the opportunity to tell my tale another time.

Binkan KL, might be the last, the second last fan meeting, I don't know. It was the rarest of all opportunities that Eun Bin's making her way to Binkan KL. I think I must've saved a country in my previous life to be able to see her for the third time. There might not be any more fan meetings.

All I know is that we have to make Binkan KL an unforgettable one for Eun Bin and for ourselves. So, let's bring the house down. Let's fill the place with Christmas cheer and spirit and our love for Eun Bin. She had sacrificed her Christmas family time for us and so had we.

So, let's make Binkan KL our Bingo family Christmas Eve Fan Meeting Party!!!!!

Here's the fan video that made all of us cry.

This was what happened when you have a theatreful of intoxicated bingos cheering for someone they loved. Yes, love can make one drunk.

And by grace of God, we were in the Manila GMA news channel.

Truly, Park Eun Bin Binkan Note Asia Tour Fan Meeting Manila has been the best thing that has happened since Covid.

I am looking forward to Binkan KL to see what it has to offer. Christmas eve 2022 is going to be another unforgettable memory.
